Andrea Garza

Andrea Garza (Gomez) entered into eternal rest at the age of 77 on April 5, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. Born to Thomas Gomez and Regina Puente on June 19, 1942 in Elgin, Texas she has now reunited with her parents as well as her beloved son Carlos Garza and grandson Benjamin Garza.

Andrea was a kind, caring, and hardworking woman with a long career working as a seamstress. She enjoyed sewing in her spare time along with baking, puzzles, going out to the movies, shopping, traveling, bingo, and casino nights. But the greatest joy of her life was spending any time with her beloved family either at home or going out dancing to Tejano or salsa music with her husband and friends, she also found a great sense of purpose in doing for others.

She now leaves behind her loving husband Robert Garza, son Michael (Debra) Garza, and daughter Cynthia Garza. Her eight beautiful grandchildren whom she adored and eight amazing great grandchildren. Her sisters Linda Rodriguez, Mary Jane Trevino, and Eloisa Mendoza along with numerous nieces and nephews and friends to continue to cherish their beloved memories of Andrea.

A private visitation for Mrs. Andrea Garza will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on April 13, 2020 at 10:00 AM followed by a rosary and funeral service at 11:00 AM. In addition, a private interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org
