Amelia Zavala Arredondo

Amelia Zavala Arredondo born on February 4, 1924 in San Antonio, TX went to be with the Lord on October 2, 2013 at the age of 89. She is preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Arredondo; daughter, Carla Ann Arredondo; grandchildren, Anthony Morales, Hermelinda Arredondo, Jesse Cruz III, and Priscilla Ann Coello; 3 brothers and 1 sister. Mrs. Arredondo is survived by her children, Genevieve Fitch (Les), Sara Cruz (Jesse), Anna Maria Cantu (Cosme), Luis Arredondo (Diane), Guadalupe Arredondo Jr. (Silvia), Ricardo Arredondo (Virginia), and Grace Coello (Jose Angel); 32 grandchildren, 92 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren; brothers, Nathan Zavala, Efrain Zavala, and David Zavala; sisters, Noemi Santiago, Ruth De La Cruz and Rachel Rivera; also, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. To 9:00 p.m. On Tuesday October 8, 2013 at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
