She is preceded in death by her husband, Marcelino Aguirre; daughter, Rosalinda Mijares; grandson, Joseph Acevedo Jr., Marcelino Aguirre III and siblings, Consuelo and Jesse.
She is survived by her children, Marcelino Aguirre, Jr. (Ruby), Armando Sanchez Aguirre (Estella), Esteban Aguirre (Julia), Sylvia Acevedo (Jesse), Belen Castilleja, Robert Aguirre, David Aguirre, Michael Aguirre and Joel Aguirre, she is also survived by her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Amelia enjoyed to play Loteria, Bingo, Roulette and slot machines. She was full of life and loved listening and singing to all genres of music. She was a fan of her San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Cowboys and Selena.

A visitation for Amelia will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, 78211 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 1:00 PM at St. James Catholic Church with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
