Amalia "Molly" Alvarado Gomez

Amalia “Molly” Alvarado Gomez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, entered into rest on August 23, 2011 at the age of 87. She was born on July 9, 1924 to parents Julio and Maria Rueda Alvarado. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Amalia was a dedicated and hard-working business woman for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Franco P. Placencia; second husband Elijio Gomez; brother, Raul; and sisters Katie and Beatrice. Amalia is survived by her daughter, Amadita “Esther” Villanueva (Isidro R. Guerrero Jr.); step-children, Linda Gomez-Whitener (Steve), Robert Gomez (Geri), and Jesus R. Villanueva, father of grandchildren, Jeanette Jackson (Dion), Lisa Antoinette Villanueva, Jesus Lawrence Villanueva (Olivia); great-grandchildren, Gregorio, James, Jeffrey (Nellie), Antonio, Michelle (Charles), Esther Marie, Andres, Jacob, Erica, Jason (Candis), Jessica, and Jesus Javier; step-grandchildren, Bryan (Angie), Kevin (Veronica), Randy, Kathy, Michael, and Kelly; step-great-grandchildren, Peyton, Eliana, and Tomas; loving brother, Saldovar Alvarado (Emma); nephew, Salvador Jr.; 10 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, August 25, 2011 with Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers, in the Chapel of Prayers. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2011 for a 10:30 a.m. Service at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 4415 S. Flores Street. Interment will follow in First Memorial Park Cemetery, Von Ormy, Texas.
