She is preceded in death by her parents as well as husband, Narciso “Chico” Cortez, her son, John Antony Cortez, and brother, Gilberto Hernandez
Molly is survived by her children, Anna Lisa Honn (husband, Randy), Steven Cortez (wife, April), Veronica Beck (husband, Aaron), daughter-in-law Carmen, and her grandchildren: Richard, Daniel, Adriana, Steven, Matthew, Kristina, Ariel, Isabel, Emily, and Jake as well as her great-grandchildren: Alexandria, Sofia, Andrew, Nicolas, Mila, Tanner, Elliot and Sadie.
She also leaves behind her siblings, Rose, Harvey, Johnny, Hernando, Angie, Sylvia, Mary, and Ruben.
Molly‘s life was one of devotion and service to her family, friends and community. Her first job after high school was with USAA where she worked for over 30 years.
Molly faithfully served her community at St Luke Catholic Church as part of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Altar Society, and the Bereavement committee.
Molly loved to dance, sing, garden and so much more. She loved her family and friends dearly and was cherished by many. She will live on in our hearts.
Visitation will be at St. Luke Catholic Church, 4603 Manitou Drive San Antonio, Texas 78228 on July 2, 2024, beginning at 8:30 A.M.
A rosary will follow at 9:30 AM and a funeral mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2.
Donations can be made in her name to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) or the Alzheimer's Association.
