Alicia N. Rios

Alicia N. Rios (“Grandma Nena”), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, entered into eternal rest on August 24, 2011, at the age of 89. She was born to parents Manuel and Anita Navarijo, on June 18, 1922, in San Antonio, Texas, where she lived her entire life. She was a loving, caring lady that will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 45 years, Rodolfo Rios, and her brother Manuel Navarijo and his wife Rebecca. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Esquivel and husband Tony; granddaughters Amy and Cindy Tijerina; great-granddaughters, Kristy Tijerina and Kennedy Martinez; brother, Raul Navarijo and his wife Rosie; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, August 29, 2011 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2011 to celebrate a 10 a.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2114 W.
