Alicia A. Melvin, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, entered rest on February 28, 2011 at the age of 82. She was born to Julio and Refugia Arrieta in San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin Allen Melvin. She is survived by children: Richard Garcia, Enrique Cordova and Linda Lou Almaguer; seven grandchildren; brother, Julio V. Arrieta and wife Dora; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at St. Philip of Jesus Catholic Church with a Rosary being recited at 10:00 a.m. and a Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
