Alice E. Mendoza

Alice E. Mendoza entered eternal rest on December 31, 2015 at the age of 96. Born in Benheimer, MO, to Juan and Adela Estrada on April 17, 1919; she now reunites with her parents; husband of 73 years, Mateo Mendoza; daughter, Irene Reyes; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters. She is survived by her children: Alfred Mendoza(Mary), Martha Reyes(Reynaldo), Mandy Edward Mendoza(Lydia), Sylvia Leandro(Tony Lopez); 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives. Alice, lovingly known as “Mama”, lived her life by strong faith and over flow of generosity to those in need. With Faith she began her mornings, as she was a strong, willed woman, who always kept busy. Alice made sure to scratch riding a Harley motorcycle and swinging on swings off her bucket list. She was a life time member VFW ladies auxiliary post 76 and devoted Spurs fan. The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. with a 7p.m. Rosary.A procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. to Celebrate a 10:00 a.m.Mass at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.Interment will follow in Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery.
