Alice Alaniz

Alice H. Alaniz born on March 24, 1933 went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents Petronillo and Andrea Herrera; brothers Rafael, Ramon, Domingo, Ricardo and Petronillo Jr. Herrera; numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years Tom Alaniz; children Thomas Alaniz (Kathy), Roy Alaniz (Erma) & Carmen Cardenas (Carlos); grandchildren Stephen Alaniz, Bryan Alaniz, Jeff Alaniz, Jason Alaniz, Aaron Cardenas and Celina Cardenas; great grandchildren Ronin Alaniz, Alicia Breault and Elijah Breault; sisters Eva Medina, Arminia Herrera (Raymond Riojas), Sylvia Herrera, and Mary H. Cortez (Gilbert) and brother Toby Herrera (Nina). She will be truly missed by family and friends. Alice loved plants, gardening and cooking. Her passion in life was to make everybody happy. She was a hard working lady who was very close to God. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211, with a Rosary to be recited at 3 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 2, 2017. Everyone will meet at Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 3930 FM 536, Pleasanton, TX 78064. Interment to follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery near Leming also in Pleasanton, TX.
