Ali Akbar Mohseni

December 10th, 2023, at the age of 88, in San Antonio, Texas.

Ali was born in Shiraz, Iran to Bibishah and Abrahim Mohseni on 7th October 1935. He married Nayereh Jou in 1963 in Shiraz where their two sons, Bobby and Shahab, were born. Ali was a bank president and financial advisor until he and his family immigrated to Texas in 1979. Ali and Nayereh resided in Houston for 44 years and recently moved to San Antonio to be closer to their son Shahab.

Ali was a kind man who put the needs of others first, may they be family, friends, or strangers, and was held in high regard for the help he provided many in the Iranian community in Houston. He was the consummate host, dancer extraordinaire, and always the life of the party.

He is survived by his wife Nayereh; his sons Bobby (Patrick Condon) & Shahab Mohseni (Renee Mix); grandchildren, Jacob Ali & Peyton Mohseni; his siblings, Katayoon Mohseni and Ismael Mohebbi; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, brother & sister in-laws, and close friends. Special thanks to Amir, Monir & Bahar Ansari; Behnaz, Farzad & Firoozeh Nikfarjam, Reza & Maryam Jou; Mahboobeh Mohebbi; and Talat Barton for their visits and care of Ali and Nayereh over the past year.

A celebration of Ali’s life will be held:

- At Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio;

- Monday, 18th December 2023:

- 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon – Family visitation;

- 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM – Visitation of friends and reception;

- 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM – Memorial Service;

- 3:30 PM – Interment.

Pallbearers: Afsheen Nikfarjam, Bahar Ansari, Ramin Ansari, Craig Newman, Richard Valedez and Patrick Condon; Honorary Pallbearers: Jacob Ali Mohseni and Amir Ansari.
