Alfredo was preceded in death by his father, Teofilo Ybarra; mother, Paula Ybarra; brother, Edward Ybarra; brother, Teofilo Ybarra; and granddaughters, Jessica Ybarra, Victoria Ximenez, and Baby Angel Ybarra.
Mr. Alfredo Ybarra Sr., is survived by his loving wife, Martina "Lia" Ybarra; son Oscar Ybarra (Rose); son Alfred Ybarra Jr. (Mary); son James Ybarra (Dolores); son David Ybarra (Beverly); daughter Dora Ximenez (Ovencio); daughter Ruth Riojas (Timothy); and daughter Ruby Martinez (Gilbert); brother Juan Ybarra (Fannie), brother Jesse Ybarra (Joyce), sister Ramona Alcaraz (Robert), sister Santos Alvarez (Frank), sister Josephine (Ski) and sister Eva Cortez (Ernest). Mr. Alfredo Ybarra Sr. also leaves behind to cherish his memory 15 Grandchildren & 18 Great-Grandchildren. The Ybarra family would also like to give special thanks to his caregivers: Gloria Gomez, Yolanda Almaguer, and the Encompass Hospice Staff.
Mr. Alfredo Ybarra Sr. was a veteran of the US Army who served his country proudly from September 9, 1945 to January 29, 1947. He was a hard working man who retired from Kelly AFB Civil service in 1986, after 36 dedicated years, to spend time with his family and on his hobbies, which included auto mechanics. Mr. Alfredo Ybarra Sr., was also an Usher and lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church - South San, where his presence and service to the church will be greatly missed.
A Visitation will be held Friday, November 3, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Road, San Antonio, Texas 78211, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. A procession will depart from the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 4, 2017, for a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Celebration at St. Joseph's - South San, 535 New Laredo Hwy, San Antonio, Texas 78221. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South, 1700 SE Military Dr., San Antonio, Texas 78214.
