Alfredo Luna Tovar entered into his eternal rest with the Lord on February 13, 2024 at the age of 73. He was born on May 12, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas to Concepcion Luna and Elias Mendoza Tovar. He was the fourth of eight children.
Alfredo graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1970. After graduating, he started working. Alfredo was an avid sports fan, he loved to watch the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys play. He never missed a game. He would also watch the A&M Aggies play during the football season. Most of all, Alfredo loved his family. He supported all his nieces and nephews with their dreams. He often gave support and encouragement to follow their passion; he was easily a big cheerleader. As Alfredo grew older, he learned the joys of family cookouts and often on weekends, he would get the family together and watch sports on TV while his brother John, along with his wife Linda, did much of the cooking, but Alfredo was the instigator of all the events.
He will be reunited in heaven with his parents, Concepcion and Elias Tovar; partner, Reba Quintanilla; brothers Ignacio Severo Tovar, Benito Tovar, and David Tovar.
Alfredo’s memory will forever live in his siblings, George (Sylvia) Tovar of San Antonio, Texas; Amelia Arroyo (Ernesto) of Woodbridge, Virginia; Irma Lozano Tovar (David) of San Antonio, Texas;, John Tovar (Linda) of San Antonio, Texas; and Joe Tovar of Madison, Wisconsin; friend, Lydia Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
