Alfredo devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, avid golfer, semi-professional dancer and break-even slot player, went home to be with our Lord July 17, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo & Annie Moreno, his sister Marcella “Chela” and countless other beloved ones. He is survived by his loving wife Maricela Moreno and two children, Alfredo Moreno III (Danielle) and their daughter Opal and Alexander Moreno (Brittany) and their two kids Palmer and Maddox as well as numerous other family members. His biggest life passions were family, golf and gambling.
He was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 10, 1954. Alfredo “Lebe” had many jobs throughout his youth including: Shoeshiner at M.K. Davis, Paperboy, Jack-in-the-box culinary artist, and door to door vacuum cleaner salesman, amongst many other unique positions before starting a career as a HVAC Project Manager, which he continued to do for 30+ years. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and extended family at BBQs, the beach and wherever Jim Croce was being played. His true passion in life, aside from his loving family, was the game of Golf, having achieved a verified hole in one. Lebe’s swift wit was charismatic and could change the mood of a room in an instant. Alfredo’s greatest accomplishment was to marry the love of his life, Maricela, at the age of 25. For more than 43 years their love flourished and created two incredibly unique sons with only the best attributes being passed on through the generations. He will never be forgotten and remembered most for the love he created in this world.…he is loved very much and will meet you in heaven at the 19th hole.
A visitation for Lebe will be held Friday, July 21, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78238, followed by a rosary service at 7:00 PM.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.SunsetNWFuneralHome.com for the Moreno family.
