Alfred F. Yanez born January 2, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas went to be with our Lord on August 20, 2017, at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose & Alejandra Yanez; brothers, Pete, Rudy, Raymond & Tony Yanez and sisters, Soila Salas and Yolanda Guerra. He is survived by his beloved wife, Francisca Yanez; son, John A. Yanez; brothers, Joe F. & Daniel F. Yanez; sister, Paula Gonzales as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alfred was proud to have served in the United States Army from 59-62. He also loved to BBQ, spend time with his family, and enjoyed his daily walks around the neighborhood.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church at 9:45 a.m. with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
