Alejos B. Alaniz passed away at the age of 79 on August 1, 2023. He was born on September 9, 1943 to Juana Briseno Alaniz and Alejos Alaniz Sr. in Charlotte, Texas. He is survived by his former wife María Elena Alaniz and their daughters Virginia A. Hernández (José I.), Sarah J. Flores (Magdiel) and Brenda M. Alaniz. He was blessed with seven grandchildren, Alejandro José Hernández, Benjamin Christian Chagolla (Alexandria), Emily Elena De Los Santos, Marco Antonio Hernández, Magdiel Joshua Flores, Marah B. Flores and Jaycob Adrian Alaniz, siblings, sister Amelia Serrato, brother José Alaniz, sister Josefa A. Gonzales (José R.) and sister Dominga Jimenez and second former wife Simona Alaniz. He has countless nephews, nieces and cousins whom he cherished dearly.
Alejos was a family man who loved to garden, hunt, fish, and play his Bajo Sexto. He loved building things with his hands, making his grandchildren laugh and being outdoors.
He graduated from Charlotte High School and attended San Antonio College where he obtained his Associates. He served in the United States Army and traveled abroad. After his discharge he continued with his Civil Service Career at Kelly Air Force Base. When he retired he opened up his own business known as A&L Telephone Service.
He was a loving Brother, Father, Uncle and Grandfather who will be greatly missed.
