Alberto O. Aguero Papa was born February 27, 1925 in Laredo, TX died Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Alberto worked at Sportsman's Country Club in Northbrook, Illinois in the early '60s. He then started his trucking business in San Antonio, TX in 1966 until he retired in 1990. He was a member of The Miracle Center Christian Church with Pastor Ruben Medel. Alberto truly enjoyed spending time with his family including his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother Manuela Ortiz Aguero who passed when he was a child, father Alberto O. Aguero, Sr., and mother Julia Aguero. He was also raised by his late aunt Florence Sotelo and late uncle Manuel Sotelo.
He is survived by his beautiful wife Delfina Arispe Aguero; daughter, Blanca Gutierrez and husband, Jesse Gutierrez; son Rudy Aguero; daughter, Julia Lewin and husband, Joe Sanchez; and son Juan Arispe and wife, Maria Christina Arispe; grandchildren, Jessica Gutierrez and husband, Michael, Jacqueline Gutierrez and husband, Rafael, Linda Aguero Diaz and husband, Ruben, Rachel Aguero and Mike, Armando Salas and Dorothy, Rebecca Sanchez, Joe Sanchez and Trini, Rosie Sanchez, Lisa Galvan and Paul, Robert Sanchez and Frances, Juan Carlos Arispe and Jennifer, Melissa Devine and Joshua, Sergio Arispe, and Michael Arispe; great grandchildren, Lauren Ashley Carrau, Marianne Bella Rodriguez and numerous others; brothers Ignacio Sotelo, Reyes M. Aguero, and Ricardo M. Aguero; and sisters Emilia Aguilar, Maria Felicita Garza, Guadalupe Perez, Catarina Ayala, Juanita Torres, Susana Rodriguez, Sara Reyna, and Maria Alicia Garcia. He is also survived by numerous relatives in Illinois, Laredo, Cotulla, and San Antonio. Special thanks are given to Mr. Jesse Gutierrez, son-in-law, for all his medical care management and compassion. Alberto was like a father to Jesse and loved him very much. We would also like to give special thanks to Dr. Fernando Triana and Dr. Michael Degaetano for the excellent provision of care and support they provided through this difficult time. Gratitude also goes to Mr. Keith Barnhill and the nursing staff at Huebner Creek Health and Rehab Center for their care.
