Albert Reyes, Jr was born in Linn, TX to Albert & Guadalupe (Garza) Reyes, Sr. and passed from this life on September 27, 2010 in San Antonio, TX. He was a veteran of the United States Army & served proudly in the Texas State Guard, retiring as a Sergeant Major. Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Dawn Reyes; daughter, Dannette Dorsett and son, William L. Brooks. Surviving are his children, Rene Reyes, Aric Kramer, Diane Bratner, Dora Lawson, Darlene Cropp, Albert Reyes III, Andrew Reyes, Tamara Burton & William D. Brooks. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Sylvia Reyes Guerra; and brother, Ruben Reyes. Visitaiton will be held at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 30th from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 8:00 a.m. in Divine Providence Catholic Church, 5667 Old Pearsal Rd. San Antonio, TX 78242 on Friday, October 1st. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
