Aileen Nichols Bowles

Born October 1, 1961, in Laguna Beach, California, Aileen Mary Nichol was the eldest daughter of Bernal Joseph and Margaret Zimmerer Nichol. Aileen attended Marshall High School, and completed her nursing degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She worked as a registered nurse in San Antonio and Galveston. Aileen retired as a nurse analyst manager at Biodynamic Research Corporation. Aileen will be remembered for her boundless enthusiasm for life. Her colorful journey was accented by her unique flair and sense of style. Never known to shy from a challenge, she lived life to the fullest and passionately pursued her many creative interests. Survivors include her husband Alfred P. Bowles II, mother Margie, sisters Sharon Nichol-Jost (husband Jeffrey) and Susan Nichol-Johnson, and her niece, Klaire. She will be missed by her devoted caregivers, Alejandra and Cecilia, and by her steadfast kitty companion, Poooh. She was preceded in death by her father. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Friday, December 13, from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a memorial rosary at 7:00 P.M. A memorial service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
