A. E. “Bud” Reynolds went home to Heaven on August 8, 2011, shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. “Bud”, born to Dick and Ruby Reynolds, in Johnson City, Tennessee on September 16, 1925, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor to many. He truly was a southern gentleman in every sense of the word. Bud served with the U. S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. His later professional career included executive positions with John Mangum and Marketing Specialist food brokerage companies. Bud is preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen. He is survived by his loving wife Erline Roberts Reynolds, children: Patricia Reynolds Cost, Meri Reynolds Spencer, Ann Reynolds Gleditsch, Donald J. Ahlgren, Donald E. Ahlgren and Carolyn Ahlgren Lowe; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ann Reynolds Chambers; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his beloved canine companion, Ben. Bud will be greatly missed by all and his legacy will live on through the life stories he has shared with his loved ones over the years.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Bexar County, Baptist Child and Family Services or Christus Sister Mary Hospice.
Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Park with Pastor Richard Wheeler, Pastor Doug Swanson and Pastor Al Mendenhall officiating.
