Ademar A. Ramos

Ademar Adrian Ramos, 78, of San Antonio, TX, died at home on the evening of Friday, Aug 17, 2012. He was born on January 16, 1934 in Hebbronville, TX, in the midst of the depression to the late Adrian and Ester Ramos. A US Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a Kelly Air Force base civil service employee until his retirement in 1990. He was preceded in death by: his parents Adrian and Ester Ramos; brothers Armando, Alvaro, Aquiles, Arnoldo and Adalberto; and sisters Emma Gonzalez, Elvira Yzaguirre, Eva Mackey, Elva Lopez and Ester Herrera. He has one sister surviving, Elvesa Garcia and husband Juan of Ft. Worth, Texas. Ademar is also survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Josephine M. Ramos of San Antonio, Texas: sons Adrian Ramos (Barbara Alvarado) of South Padre Island, TX, Art Ramos (Linda Scugoza) of Live Oak, TX, Andres Ramos (former daughter-in-law Araceli Ramos) of Laredo, TX; daughter Judi Ramos Noland (Shawn Noland) of Boerne, TX; grandchildren Adrianna and Angelica Ramos of Billings, MT, Paige Ramos of Floresville, TX, Nicolette, Natalie and Quintin Noland of Boerne, TX, and Andrea and Adan Ademar Ramos of Laredo, TX; great-granddaughter Ashelia Knight of Billings, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 130 S. San Augustine, San Antonio, Texas 78237.
