Abelardo Rios

Abelardo enjoyed reading, keeping current with Politics, watching History channels, listening to music on his CD player to his favorite artists such as Abba, Linda Ronstadt and Mariachi music. Most of all he loved taking trips to his property in Rockport and Fishing, and sharing memorable times in the Marines, serving 6 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva H. Rios; great grandson, Dominick J. Garcia; father, Guillermo Rios; mother, Juanita Rios; brothers, Eulalio Rios, Jose Rios, Willie Rios Jr.; sister, Juanita Rios Ortiz.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura Garza (Michael), granddaughters, Amanda Garcia (Jeremy), Andrea Garza, Rebekah Garza Trevino; great grandchildren, Jacob Trevino, Julian Trevino, Josiah Trevino, Mark Acosta Garza Jr., Lorali Garcia as well as numerous family and friends. Abelardo will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237. On Thursday, July 13, 2023 our doors will open at 8:30 a.m. We will go in procession for a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Holy Family Parish Church, 152 Florencia Ave., San Antonio, Tx 78228. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd., San Antonio, Tx 78266.
