Willie B. Wright

Family visitation is Friday, September 18, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Home Going service is at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William McClendon officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers for the service will be Bryant Wilson, Kennith Mathis, David Garcia, Arthur Smith, Jesse Williams, Jr., and Brandon Rose.

She was born to Buster and Ella Pullen in Waelder, Texas on May 31, 1923. She met and married Bryant Wright on January 8, 1948. To this union was born a daughter. Willie B. worked for O.L. and Dorothy Schuch for many years and for the City of San Angelo for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, her twin brother, sisters Sarah Walker, Lois Starks, Ann Fletcher and brother Charlie Pullen, and great-grandson Alexander Wilson. She is survived by her devoted daughter Vera Smith of San Angelo; son-in-law Arthur Smith of Big Lake, Texas; grandsons Bryant Wilson of San Antonio, Texas and Jason Smith of Big Lake, Texas; great-grandchildren Alex Groh of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jillian Wilson, Bryce Wilson, and Miles Wilson, all of San Antonio, Texas; brother Jacob Pullen; sisters Olvis Williams, and Mablean Ford, all of San Angelo and Mary Crumpler of Emporia, Virginia. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Mama’s caretakers, Charlotte Pullen Williams, Garland Sennette and Maxine Lewis. Also, thank you to Dr. Dominique Yang Kim, Hospice of San Angelo, and Dr. Clyde Henke and Dr. Brett Nile.
