Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, Nov. 30th in Johnson’s Funeral Home chapel.
Vella was born July 22, 1936 in Lynn County, Texas to G.C. and Velma (Lane) Stephens.
Survivors include three daughters Kim Gressett of San Angelo, Barbara Moore and Judy Kelley both of Sheffield; five brothers Willard Stephens, Doyle Stephens, Joe Stephens, Lanenon Stephens and Darrell Stephens; three sisters Linda Pressly, Jan Davila and Donna Bloomer; nine grandchildren Stephen Kelley, Chesney Soto, Amber Washburn, Lance Soto, Crystal Darby, Teresa Salgado, Brian Kelley, Kayla Lacy and Alex Huggins; 17 great grandchildren and one on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
