It is with profound sadness that the family of Sue Ramsey Gomez announce her sudden passing on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the age of 62. Born to Grover Cleveland and Ava Dell Smith Ramsey as the youngest daughter on March 15, 1958. She was born and raised in San Angelo, Texas and graduated from Central High School in 1976. Sue wed the love of her life, Louis P. Gomez, on October 4, 1990 where all
their many adventures began. She enjoyed traveling with her husband discovering the many fishing areas, motorcycle trails and the beauty that this world has to offer. When asked how we would describe our Mother, Sue, aka Momo. Two words immediately came to mind, Treasure Seeker. Which was basically her profession, but more accurately it was her passion. She built a business, Concho Confetti, where she could live out her dream job. Which was essentially to go on countless adventures with her best friend, Chandra, searching far and wide for Treasure where others only could see junk. But this Treasure seeking mentality wasn’t just limited to her professional life; it was how she lived her entire life. We only wish that we could see the world through her eyes. When we can only see the world as it is, our Mother would always see the world as it could be. Where we would see junk, she saw the Treasure not only in each of us, but in everyone and everything she would see.
Preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Ava Dell Ramsey, a brother,
James Ramsey, two sisters, Carol Rush and Oleita Kline.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Gomez; two sons, Brian and Michael Woodruff; daughter, Courtney Gomez; sister, Roylene (Ricky) Dickson; grandson, Brian Minjarez; granddaughter, Kailee Gomez.
A private burial was held on Wednesday, December 9th at Johnson’s
Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made in her honor to Meals for the Elderly of
San Angelo.
