Sheila was born to Cecil and Glada Reel in Bakersfield, California. She graduated from Midland High School and then went on to earn her teaching degree from the University of Oklahoma. Sheila returned to Midland to teach school for many years.
Sheila married Bob on July 4, 1977 in Midland, TX. For much of the past 20 years, Sheila and Bob lived and worked on their ranch in Bronte which had been in Bob’s family for 100 years. There were many days when they were on their bulldozers to clean up the place of juniper and mesquite.
Sheila is a member of the First Presbyterian Church of San Angelo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert W. Patteson; her sister in law, Patsy Rose and her twin brother, David Reel. She is survived by her brother, Ed Reel and his wife Lay; sister-in-law, Linda who was married to the late David Reel and their son, John Reel.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM, Friday, December 10, 2021 at Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Joel Moore officiating. Family and friends may leave online condolences and memories at www.Johnsons-FuneralHome.com
