Samuel Winston Wilson passed peacefully from this earth Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013. Dad was born on April 10, 1932, to Samuel Clay Winston Wilson and Alcie Arietta Wilson. Dad loved spending time with the 60 year love of his life Mary and his family. Together Mom and Dad grew bountiful vegetable gardens and raised many a beautiful flower gardens. Nothing made him happier than being with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren fishing at Paradise Point, playing horse in the driveway, pitching washers, farkle, dominoes, cooking out, building patios, being at the ball park or soccer grounds, watching his grandkids playing in the boat, picking up pecans or simply taking walks. Sam was a long-time employee of Texas Highway Department and an active member of Community Hills Christian Church. He kept the flower beds beautiful and cooked many a sold out pot luck dish at their church lunches. He will be remembered by his special songs and beautiful whistle.
