Ruth Ruiz

Ruth P. Ruiz, age 55, of San Angelo, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023. She was born on October 16, 2017 in San Angelo, Texas to Celestino and Elodia Ruiz. Ruth graduated from Central High School and went on to Howard College to obtain a degree in Nursing. Ruth worked as a nurse for throughout the San Angelo area. Ruth had one son, Aaron James Allen who was the light of her life.

She was a proud member of Solid Rock Church, MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) and Compassionate Friends.

Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also had a love for pets, especially her dogs. She will be remembered for her laugh, her wit, and her use of emojis in the text messages she sent to family and friends. Family was important to Ruth and she made them a priority.

She is preceded in death by her son, Aaron James Allen; her parents, Celestino and Elodia Ruiz, and her sister, Yolanda Ramirez.

Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Guadalupe Ford, Olivia Aguirre, Celestino Ruiz, Jr., Susan Cummings, and Sam Ruiz; her nieces and nephews, Jimmy Jimenez, Christine Wood, Sandra Aburto, Robert Jimenez, Rebekah Kmieciak, Daniel Ramirez, Jr., Cindy Ladanyi, Catherine White, Mark Ruiz and Matthew Ruiz as well as other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Norma Cerna and Dr Cheruku for their care for Ruth. They would also like to thank Solid Rock Church for their prayers and support during this time.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Ramirez, Jr., Jimmy Jimenez, Mark Ruiz, Matthew Ruiz, Larry Aguirre, and Travis Kmieciak.

Visitation for Ruth will be Thursday, June 8th, 2023 from 6-8 pm at Johnson's Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm, Friday, June 9th, 2023 at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ruth's name to MADD - San Antonio, TX Chapter.
