Richard "Fat Albert" Johnson

Richard David Johnson, 56, of San Angelo, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. He was born on March 3, 1964 in San Angelo, Texas to Melba Johnson and James Kendrick. Richard attended Central High School and graduated in the class of 1982. He later went on to obtain a Master’s In Mechanic from CCI Tech. Richard had a career in detailing cars, working for Robert Car Garage as a mechanic. Richard married Yolanda in 1981. He was a proud member of the Army National Guard and had a passion for serving his country and being helpful to others. He was preceded in death by his mother Melba Johnson. Richard is survived by his father James Kendrick; sisters Daina Johnson and Kymberly Forbes; children Dominique Stephens and Khalil King; niece Charmaigne Johnson; 3 grandchildren and a host of other nieces and nephews. A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a memorial donation in Richard’s name to Daina Johnson. The family would also like to thank L.E.
