Renate (Renee) Morgan, age 73, born in Ludwigshafen, Germany on September 5th, 1937 went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 14th, 2010. There will be visitation for family and friends on Thursay, September 16th at Johnson's Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Graveside service will be held Friday, September 17th at Grape Creek Cemetery at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Jodie Weeks. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home.
Renee had many life accomplishments and endeavors. Her utter selflessness and giving heart signified only a portion of her generous character that desired to change the lives of all those around her. She worked at S.A.C.E Communications for many years and the San Angelo State School, where she later volunteered. Although she thrived on being in the community and serving others, she absolutely blossomed when it came to being there for her family.
Renee always embraced life with an enthusiastic charm that not only captivated her family but also all others who had the privilege of meeting her. Her vivacious personality could always bring laughter to the table and a smile to your face. From her German accent to her contagious laugh, people loved listening to her stories. Her favorite past-time was spending time with her family and enjoying outings to craft events and flea markets. She cherished her family and loved her grandkids and great grandkids dearly. With her growing family, she made wholehearted attempts to call each one by name having to rattle off each name until she hit the jackpot! She was nothing short of extraordinary and was always a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her cherished mother, Emilie Tischer Kurz, her special cousin, JoHanna Zwingler, her beloved son-in-law, Benjie Wiese, and her dear friend, June Sears. She is survived by her husband, Marvin Morgan of Carlsbad, her children, JoAnn Wiese, Karen and Danny Sears, Diana and Joe Lawlor, all of Carlsbad, Billy and Linda Morgan of Grape Creek, Sabrina and Steve Bankard of Cape Coral, her 10 grandkids, 9 great grandkids, numerous friends, and her spoiled dog Rex.
