Ramon Jose Arroyos

Ramon Jose “Chemita” Arroyos went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the age of 77. For most of his life he resided in Hereford, Tx. where he raised his five children, until he relocated to San Angelo, where he continued his retirement for the past two years. Ramon was born on September 11, 1933 in Bracketville, Tx. He married Ofelia Rodriguez on September 4, 1954 in Bracketville, Tx. He is survived by his children and former spouse, Ophelia R. Arroyos of San Angelo with whom he was married for 33 years. Together they had five children.

Ramon was a lover of earth with a gift

of growing plants & making nature bloom.

He leaves a long legacy of strong work ethic, love of his family, nature and travelling throughout the country. He was of Catholic faith & a believer of God. Survivors include Vickie Baros family, Virginia Lucero family of San Angelo, Joe Arroyos family of Hereford, Velma Seawell family of Leander, & George Arroyos family of Rosenberg. He is survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous other family members.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 18th at 10am at St Mary’s Catholic Church, San Angelo proceeding with a rosary at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Thursday at 7pm. Our beloved father will be laid to rest at Lawnhaven Cemetary.
