Olga Torres Rivera, of Eola, TX passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023. She was born on August 20, 1956 in Temple, TX to Jaime and Luciana Torres. Olga attended Eola High School in Eola, TX. She married the love of her life Johnny Rivera on May 23, 1981, together they had 1 son. Olga then began her career as a Nurses Aid at Shannon Medical Center and worked for Ethicon in San Angelo. She had a passion for her grandkids that she loved so much, she will always be remembered for her very kind heart that everyone loved very much. Olga loved to gamble and enjoyed spending time with everyone. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Rivera, Sr.; her parents Jaime Torres, Sr., and Luciana Ojeda Torres; her brothers Jaime Torres, Jr., Ray Torres, Sr. and Johnny Torres, Sr. and her sister Erminia Luna. Those left to cherish her memory are her only son Johnny Rivera, Jr.; sisters Lucy Rivera and husband Jerry Rivera, Sr. of San Angelo, TX and Isabel Rivera and husband Herman Rivera, Sr. of San Angelo, TX; brother Fernando Torres, Sr. and wife Susan Torres of Eola, TX; her grandson Johnny Alexander Rivera and granddaughter Nya Kristine Rivera and they were both her life. Olga is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She loved all of them with all her heart as well as they loved Olga with all their hearts, she will be dearly missed by everyone. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2023 in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023 in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Maria Lucio. Interment will follow in Mereta- Eola Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Alexander Rivera, Guadalupe Luna, Jr., Michael Gutierrez, Adam Rivera, Albert Rivera, Fernando Torres, Jr., Jason Torres and Herman Rivera, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Torres, David Torres, Johnny Parra, Jr. and Abell Rivera.
