Louise and her husband Conn Johnson moved to Coke County in 1973 where they ranched until his death in 1995. She and their son Bud, continued the ranching operations. She was very active in the 4-H program and school activities in Bronte.
She graduated from San Angelo High School in 1946 and attended San Angelo College and Texas Tech. She attended the University of Chihuahua, Mexico in 1949 as an exchange student under the good neighbor program and continued to travel to Mexico for many years thereafter.
Louise was office manager of John I. Moore Oil Properties and also was office manager for long-time San Angelo real estate developer Ted Brown. She later served as Executor of the Estate and Testamentary Trust of Ted B. Brown. She served as President of the San Angelo Desk and Derrick Club and was elected a Director of the National Organization.
She is survived by her son R. Simpson (Bud) Johnson of Bronte and her nephew Todd Williams of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her husband Conn Johnson, her sisters Norma Joe Williams and Melba McCormick, and a nephew Mark Douglas Williams.
Graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Bronte Texas, on Friday, September 10th at 2 pm. Arrangements to be provided by Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo.
