Joyce Marie Smith

Joyce Marie Smith entered into Eternal Rest at 2:56 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2015. Joyce Smith, 77, was born September 11, 1937 in Fredrick, Oklahoma and resided many years in San Angelo and Lubbock, Texas.

She married James P. Smith on October 6, 1954 and had three daughters. Joyce passed away peacefully at her home in Lubbock surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James P. Smith, her grandson, Sonny J. Green, Mother, Effie Boyett, a brother, John Tatum and a sister, Shirley Reed.

She is survived by daughters, Cynthia Green (Louis), Cathy Dodson (Everett), and Karen Peck; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Barrington and one brother, Henry Tatum.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo under the direction of Johnson’s Funeral Home. Brother L.C. Messer of Full Gospel Church will be officiating.
