Jose Jo Perez

JOSE CEREZO PEREZ aka “Shorty”, 91, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on the 27th of August, 2017. Jose was born in Cuernavaca, Mexico on March 19, 1926. Jose was married to Maria Garcia on July 11, 1949 they remained married 49 years until her passing in 1998. Jose worked as a truck driver for M-System Food Stores for 33 years until his retirement. After retirement he helped out at the family resturants for the next seventeen years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, camping and football. He was also faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Jose is survived by seven children: Roy Perez of Fort Worth, Texas, Joe Perez of McAllen, Texas, Jesse Perez, Mario and Gloria Perez, Leticia and Daniel Franco, Gracie Martinez and Maria and Bryan Scarlett all of San Angelo, 42 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and other family, Crystal Irby and friends. Jose is preceded in death by his parents: Adelaido and Sofia Perez, infant son, Jose Luis Perez, wife Maria Garcia Perez, Brother Gonzalo Perez and Sister Gloria Moreno. Visitation will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home beginning at 6pm on Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 with a rosary to follow at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on August 31st, 2017. Interment to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery mausoleum. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Johnson’s Funeral Home.
