John married Patricia Lee Cloud on May 28, 1960 in Lincoln, NH. He took pride in his time served in the US Navy from 1956-1960. He then worked for the Federal Aviation Administration and travelled near and far to follow the work he loved. The love he had for his family was immeasurable. His favorite memories were the times spent with his children and grandchildren. To most, John was known as Papa.
John was quite the handyman, craftsman, and collector. He took pride in his “junk” collection which included many vintage gadgets, each with a specific purpose. His sense of humor and wit were what made him who he was. His knowledge and unconditional love will be missed dearly. To know Papa was to love him.
The Hanna family would like to make a special thanks to Dr. Robert Prieto and his staff for their wonderfully compassionate care through this time.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, his parents and brother, Edward Hanna. He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Pate and husband Alvis; his children and their spouses, Janet and Randy Weatherby, Edward and Cathie Hanna, Mary Beth and Shannon Kendall, Christopher Hanna, and Christy Hanna; 11 grandchildren, Jeremy and Amy Weatherby, Kristin, Matthew, Melissa, and Tyler Hanna, Emilee Evans, Karli McNett, Shelby, Morgan, and Marley Hanna; and great granddaughter Callie May Hanna.
