Joe Hodge Jr., 61, of San Angelo, passed away May 5, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Lubbock, Texas on July 22, 1955. Joe graduated from Lake View High School. He was married to Janet (Schwertner) Hodge on March 5, 1988. Joe retired in 2007 from the City of San Angelo Parks Department. He loved camping, fur friends, and people; especially all of the good friendships from all of the people of Texas 281 RV Park and Heart of Texas Lake Resort. Joe was the type of person that always welcomed everyone, even complete strangers. He was a jack of all trades and could build or manufacture anything presented to him. Joe and Janet spend 8 1/2 years in the Texas Hill Country with their fifth wheel and had planned to start traveling the United States. He loved meeting new people and always welcomed them to his campsite.
