SAN ANGELO - Jewell C. Bailey went to be with the Lord at 5:40 a.m. Feb. 4, 2015, after a lengthy illness, in Covenant Heart Hospital in Lubbock, Texas.Jewell was born March 19, 1942, in San Angelo to Howard D. and Jewel C. (Page) Huddleston, and graduated from Lake View High School.She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Robbie Dee and Royce J. Huddleston; her sister, Lily Joe Huddleston; her first born grandchild, Timothy James (T.J.) Chatham; and her beloved husband of 26 years, Ret. U.S.A.F. Chief Master Sgt. Daniel Bailey.She is survived by her sister, Tilithi Baxter of Satsuma, Florida; son Robert Vaughn Chatham of San Angelo; daughters Rhonda L. Chatham Williams of San Angelo and Emma L. Chatham Sawvel of Austin; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and special friend Earl Frisbee, of Lubbock.She and her late husband, Daniel Bailey, were the proud owners of Bailey's Sports Bar and Grill in San Angelo for the 15 years preceding his death in March 2008. Jewell was the ""motherly hen"" type to both the male and female bartenders and wait staff who worked at Bailey's.Her memory will be loved, honored and cherished by her family, friends, past employees and patrons of their establishment.There will be a viewing and visitation from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside service is at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Dr. David R. Currie officiating.
