Janice was born June 12, 1943, in Borger, Texas, to the late Roy Calhoun Beasley and Grace Lougenia Cox Beasley.
After spending her early years in Borger, she spent a short time with her grandmother in Strawn before her family moved to Dublin, Texas, which she considered home, and graduated from Dublin High School.
Janice met the love of her life, Grady R. O'Neal and they were married June 18, 1961, at Church of Christ in Dublin. She was housewife and homemaker all of her married life and was responsible for "holding things together" while her husband served several overseas tours in the military. After his discharge from the military in 1977, they moved to San Angelo and made this their home. After moving to San Angelo, Janice became very active in Southgate Church of Christ and enjoyed helping out in the church's teacher's work room with her dear friend, Debra Chunn. Janice enjoyed volunteering her time helping in Girl Scouts and various school activities. She also enjoyed playing card games with her family and reading. She loved to travel, seeing many different wonderful sights throughout the United States, especially Yellowstone National Park and her Alaskan Cruise.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Royce Beasley; and her sisters, Sarah Helcker and Pat Rollins.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Grady R. O'Neal of San Angelo; daughter Lougenia D. Mitchell and her husband Dave of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
Family will receive friends for the visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel with Paul Shero officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
