James E. Lackey, 83, of San Angelo, Texas passed away on February 21, 2023. He was born on September 9, 1939, in Kerrville, Texas to James P. Lackey and Lela Faye Shannon. James married Helen June Potter on December 22, 1956 and together they had 5 children.
James enjoyed going fishing and will always be remembered for his love of music.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Helen Lackey, his eldest daughter, Sharon, and his grandson, Dustin.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Edwin and wife, Patricia; his son Mark and wife, Renee; his son Kenneth and wife, Gina; his daughter, Tammy and husband, Willie; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for James will be held at 10 am, Monday, February 27, 2023 at Grape Creek Cemetery.
