Henry Jr. Martinez

Henry Jr. Martinez, 58, of San Angelo, TX passed away on April 16, 2023. He was born on October 3, 1964 in Brady, TX to Mary Loy Martinez and Enrique Martinez. Henry attended Central High School then began his career in the Union working for IBEW PAR Local 769 as a Senior Line Diesel Mechanic. Henry married Katie Kirkwood in 2019. Henry was kind and loving. He always put his family first and was always there for everyone when we needed him. He was always proud of his three daughters and grandchildren. For those who knew and loved Henry know he was a man of faith. In addition to his faith, Henry was also a very hard worker, and I think we can all agree that he was a talented in many aspects of life. He had a passion for mechanizing to where he eventually had become Ford Diesel Master certified. He also had a passion for the motorcycle club Los Carnales Mc to which he was retired from the club Henry also loved his IBEW coworkers/family. With his passing, Henry is leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and generosity. Henry shared good humor and a big smile with everyone he met. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Katie; his children, Cierra Celeste Garcia, Mercedes Marie Prahl and Lexus Leeann Martinez; and his grandchildren, Zoey S. Garcia, Oscar Garcia Barrera, Izaiah Martinez, Noah Kelcourse, Eliana Kelcourse and Amelia Kelcourse. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2023 in the Chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with interment to follow in Melvin Cemetery in Melvin, TX.
