Guadalupe R. Villarreal

Guadalupe R. Villarreal, 95, of San Angelo went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 24, 2022. He was born to Martiniano and Tomasa Rios Villarreal in Zaragoza, Coah. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Hortencia Montalvo, sister Carmen Villarreal, brother Ernesto Villarreal, sister Dora Villarreal, brother Ramon Villarreal, sister Minerva Acosta, brother Martiniano Villarreal, brother Raul Villarreal, brother Encarnation Villarreal, brother Vicente Villarreal. Guadalupe is survived by his sisters, Ofelia Ramirez and Gillermina Hyten and numerous nieces and nephews. Guadalupe better known at Tio Lupito. He enjoyed listening to his music and always dancing. He would always take his radio everywhere he went. He was the life of the party. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He never had children of his own but he had numerous nieces and nephews that he loved and treated them as his children. He had a very special bond with one of his nieces, Uvaldina Villarreal she cared and loved him like a father. He also had a bond with a great nephew, Felipe DeHoyos, Jr. He would take him to his favorite places to eat. The family would like to thank Park Plaza Nursing Center (North) for the care they gave Guadalupe (Tio Lupito). Also the family would like to thank St. Gabriel’s Hospice for the care they gave Guadalupe. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2022 in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Acosta, Juan Villa, Fernando Vasquez, Sr., Felipe DeHoyos, Jr., Orlando DeHoyos and Jose Villarreal. Honorary Pallbearer will be Luciano DeHoyos.
