Gregorio G. Flores Sr.

On Sunday, November 13, 2022 our beloved father, Gregorio G. Flores Sr., 91 years of age, of San Angelo, Texas finished his race and was called home to his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his family at his residence.

Gregorio was born May 9, 1931 in Lampazos, Nuevo Leon Mexico to the late Petra Guerrero Flores.

On December 27, 1951, he married the love of his life of 71 years, Elva Lozano. Together they raised eight loving children. In 1963, he migrated his family to the United States where they became U.S. citizens. He was a hard worker from a young age to support his family. He was a construction worker for 15 years, farm tractor operator for 18 years and in his last occupation, he worked as a grinder for Western Iron Works where he retired after 24 years.

Gregorio and family became members of Jerusalem Assembly of God Church in the late 1960's and for the last 34 years, he was a faithful member of Bethel Assembly of God Church. After retirement, he loved fixing things around the house and enjoyed going to the Circle F Ranch and watching over the animals. Gregorio loved spending time with his family at the ranch and home. He always had a new childhood or life story to tell. He always enjoyed a good game of football, win or lose he was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Most importantly, he loved to pray, read his bible daily and share his faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Gregorio always made sure to remind his family to seek the Lord. He was a wonderful, loving husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law and friend to all who knew him.

Gregorio is survived by his loving wife, Elva Flores; his two daughters, Estella (Jerry) Gomez and Rose (Fernando) Urista; his five sons, Joe (Letty) Flores, Greg (Sally) Flores, Harvey (Rebecca) Flores, Martin (Connie) Flores, and Richard (Hope) Flores. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Gregorio is preceded in death by his son, Johnny Flores; his mother, Petra G. Flores; his sister, Maria Flores and his brother, Juan Flores.

A visitation for Gregorio will be held Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Friday, November 18, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Israel Flores officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will include his grandsons, David Jaques, Joe Flores, Greg Flores III, Charlie Cruz, Isaac Flores, Erik Flores and Richie Flores.
