Dr. Grady Wilson Bryan, 55, passed away September 7, 2015. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.
Grady was born in Tulare, California on September 17, 1959. He grew up in Amarillo, Texas, and graduated from Amarillo High School. He attended Texas Tech University and graduated from the UTHSC Dental School in San Antonio, Texas in 1985. He went on to graduate from the UTHSC Medical School in 1990. He completed his residency in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery in 1992 in San Antonio, Texas.
Grady met the love of his life, Natalie, and the two wed in 1985. Their family grew in 1989 with the birth of their son, Jeffrey. With the addition of their daughter Claire, in 1992, their family quartet was now complete and they began a wonderful family journey. He beamed with pride watching his two kids navigate their way through school to become responsible adults. A father’s love for his children remains forever, and Grady’s mentorship of Jeffrey and Claire will help guide them forward.
Grady was a constant at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church, where he worshiped his Lord, participated in numerous music programs, led Bible studies, and was very much involved in church support. His faith to his Lord was unwavering.
Grady had a voracious appetite for outdoor-related events. He hunted, fished, camped, hiked, biked, and completed three triathlons in the past year. Grady was also a talented musician and found great pleasure playing the guitar and singing, including his participation in the San Angelo Chamber Choir. Grady also was an accomplished cook and he loved sharing his culinary skills with friends and family. And speaking of friends, Grady had a big circle of friends; they loved him so much and his love for them was visibly reciprocating.
Grady is survived by his wife of 30 years, Natalie Raabe Bryan; his two children Jeffrey Bryan of Dallas, Texas and Claire Bryan of San Angelo, Texas; his parents, Cheryl and Garnett Bryan of Amarillo, Texas; sister, Leigh Ann Wright, of Amarillo, Texas; brother, Gary Bryan and wife Kim of Pine, Colorado; mother and father-in-law, Teresa and David Raabe of Poth, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and David Delgado of Pleasanton, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Gayle and Juan Parra of Long Beach, California; along with nieces and nephews, Megan and Josh Wright, and Sydney and Derek Delgado.
