Grace Marie Smith

Grace Marie Smith of San Angelo, TX passed away on Tuesday, December 12th after her fierce battle with cancer. She had 4 children that she loved deeply. She will always be remembered for her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary, her love for her family, friends, her determination, her zest for adventure and her beautiful smile that would light up a room. A visitation will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers for the service will be her grandchildren; Jimmy Don Lee, Melissa Schneider, Scott Whitten, Shelia Manning, Brandy Lee, Mike Whitten and Kenny Lewellen. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Emily Zak, brothers Ray Zak and Daniel Zak, son-in-laws Freddie Lewellen and William Alsbrooks and granddaughter Brittany Alsbrooks. Survivors are her sister Susanne Barta of San Angelo, TX and sister-in-law Hazel Zak of Hurst, TX. Her 4 children are Dewayne Givens and wife Beverly of San Angelo, TX, Brenda Lewellen of Waxahachie, TX, Jana Whitten and husband Steve of San Angelo, TX and Rhonda Sue Alsbrooks of Farmersville, TX; she is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 9 nieces and nephews.
