Gloria was born in San Angelo, Texas, January 29, 1963, to Benjamin White and Cleo Erskin White. She graduated from Central High School in San Angelo and received an Associate of Business Administration degree from American Commercial Business College.
Gloria retired in 2011, having worked as an office automation clerk in the Mental Health Unit at Goodfellow Air Force Base (San Angelo, Texas) for 26 years. She worshipped her God at the Christian Faith Center in San Angelo.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and her brother, James White.
Gloria will be especially missed by her son, Zachary her siblings, Nancy White, Rita Cardenas, Priscilla Macias (Abram), and Tracy White. She leaves behind her nieces and nephews: Joshua Macias (Brittany), Bethany Ochoa, Alexandria Cardenas, Tevin Macias (Elizabeth), Stefan Compton (Mariah McClellin), and Brandon White. The family values her close friendships with Cleo Ortiz and Leticia Moore, who offered unconditional love and support.
To know Gloria Jean was to love her. She was generous, almost to a fault, as she could not pass up an opportunity to share whatever she had with her friends and family – even to strangers. The void that she leaves will never be filled in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Gloria Jean White’s life will be celebrated at Johnson’s Funeral Home (435 West Beauregard Ave., San Angelo, Texas) at 2:00PM, Monday, January 24, 2022. There will be an open visitation 3:00PM – 5:00PM Sunday, January 23, 2022.
