made lifelong friends of Sara May and Louteen Knoch. Gladys (Gigi) worked in Hollywood, Roswell, El Paso, Marfa, Hawaii, Goodfellow, Amarillo, and Wheeler Air Force Bases and Naval Air Station in Point Magu, California, as well as many years in Houston as a secretary to Dr. Lidsky at the V.A. Hospital. She retired at the V.A. Hospital in Dallas. Her passion was being “Gypsy Gigi”, as she loved to travel. Her favorite trip was to Europe with her youngest daughter. Sewing was a hobby and a necessity during The Depression Era. She made quilts for her family, and many Halloween costumes for her grandkids, as well as clothes for herself and others. Gigi had a great “Love of Life” and continued searching for it as long as she was able to. Her answer to trouble was “And this too shall pass”. She admired Billy Graham. Gigi was a member of Southland Baptist Church in San Angelo, Texas for many years. May she find peace and joy in heaven.
Gladys is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Cross and Beverly (Kathryn) Horton. Carolyn has two children, Tamara Cross and Brooks Ballard. Tamara has a daughter, Grace Lawson-Cross. Kathryn
has 4 children, Matthew, Sara, Josh, and Steven. Matt has one child, Adelyn, and Sara has three children, Sawyer, Henry, and Jack. She is survived by a younger sister, Lenora Keel, who was her rock. She has a caring nephew, Kendall Green, who was a huge blessing for her, as well as other nieces and nephews and their families. Gladys was proceeded in death by her parents, sister Mildred Green and her
brother, Vernon Palmer.

and a friend.
Her gravesite celebration will take place at the Mule Creek Cemetery in Tennyson on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. We would appreciate your prayers and attendance if possible.
