Givens (G.C.) Miller, 92, longtime resident of San Angelo and retired department head with Concho Valley Electric Co-Op of 37 years, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 in Austin. He was born to the late, Givens C. and Jewel Dukes Miller on February 4, 1924 in El Paso, Texas. G.C. served in the United States Army during World War II, both in the European and Pacific Theatres. He married, Florence Forman Loudamy on June 29, 1956 in San Angelo. They were married 54 years at the time of her passing in 2010. G.C. was a member of the Johnson Street Church of Christ. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Givens was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and siblings, Ann Miller, George Miller and Julia Brown.
Survivors include his son, Larry Loudamy; daughter, Karen Darling; three grandchildren, John Loudamy, LeAnn Robledo, and Julie Baling; brother, Frank Miller; numerous great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be an open time of visitation from 10:00 AM - 8:00 P.M. for friends and family at Johnson's Funeral Home on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, February 22, 2016 in the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Dr. Tommy King officiating.
