Gerard "Jerry" Russell Ferris, age 79, of San Angelo, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023. He was born in New York City on October 22, 1943 to Thomas and Emily Ferris. He graduated from Thomas Edison High School in New York and went on to join the United States Air Force where he served his country proudly for 22 years. After retirement, he worked for 16 years in Civil Service at Goodfellow Air Force Base.
Jerry was the best daddy and grandpa in the world. He took care of his family and loved them deeply.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Lee Ferris.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Taraann Ferris and Derek Russell Ferris, both of San Angelo; his grandchildren, Vanessa Ferris of Carrollton, TX, Drew Ferris of Houston, TX and Danelle Haighley of Houston, TX. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, Cheyenne and Casen Haighley, both of Houston, TX.
