Floy B. Franke

Floy was born in Coke County January 21, 1926 to Maude and Perry Long. She was married to Charles Stevens for 34 years and together they raised 4 wonderful children. She married Wilfred Franke in 1986. They had 24 wonderful years of marriage.

She worked at Woolworth for many years and later retired from Ethicon, inc. Mama loved music and loved to dance. Her kids and grandkids were the light of her life. She loved to cook and eat fish and watch the kids play in the river. She would brag to anyone who would listen about her family and say how blessed she was. She was a member of Christoval Baptist Church and she loved her Sunday school class. She was very active in serving her community.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Stevens, her mom and dad Maude and Perry Long and her brother Rex Long.

She is survived by her husband Wilfred Franke, her children Perry and Linda Stevens, JoAnn and Ronnie Shaw, Charlie and Jyl Stevens, Bobby and Shiralon Stevens, all of San Angelo; her step children Ronny and Sandy Franke, Cindy and Marvin Gill, Peggy and Dale Pruitt, Gene and Christy Franke and Chris Franke; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; her sister Maxine Dragoo and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends, and special neighbors.

A visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 7:00PM Sunday, August 15, 2010. The funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, August 16, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Christoval, TX with burial following at Ivy Cemetery in Christoval, TX. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren.
