He was born on March 3, 1939 in Menard, Texas to Florentino & Elvira Perez. Jesse attended Menard High School before beginning his career as a handy man and jack-of-all-trades. He will always be remembered for his green thumb and skilled lawn maintenance, passion for fishing, and love of helping others. Jesse never knew a stranger and was always the first to step up and offer a helping hand. His kind heart and caring nature will be dearly missed by everyone who had the blessing of knowing him.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Florentino & Elvira Perez; brothers, Gilbert and Robert; son, Philip; and granddaughter, Mercedes.
He is survived by his daughter, Sylvia & husband Ray; sons, Mario and Albert; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, all of San Angelo, Texas.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 27 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Menard, Texas. Condolences and memories can be left for the family at www.Johnsons-FuneralHome.com .
